the view from the car

The view from the car is critique. A critique and an attempt. A critique, an attempt, and an echo. It is a critique of the discourses and practices of various academic and activist grouping and their unarticulated assumptions of the current experience of Whiteness in the United States. It is an attempt to articulate an experience of Whiteness today, a Whiteness that is characterized by its attempt to naturalize and conceal itself. It is an echo to previous critiques and attempts to articulate and trouble fields of power that seek to present themselves as natural and the subjectivities produced inside of those fields.
